Marigold Floral Studio specializes in weddings, events, custom seasonal florals, and photo styling. Our designs evoke nature with a wild seasonal relevance. Taking inspiration from our natural surroundings, we create lush, romantic designs with an elegant untamed aesthetic; reminiscent of overgrown country gardens.
For our flowers, we prefer locally grown and seasonal botanicals, elements of beautiful textures, lush foliages, berries, branches, fragrant herbs and nodding grasses. When nearby flower farms and our own cutting gardens have quieted down and been laid to rest, we procure flowers from hand selected wholesalers to ensure beautiful flowers throughout the year. Nestled in the coastal town of Brunswick, Maine, Marigold Floral Studio serves the mid coast region, surrounding areas and beyond. We are always willing to travel.
Love is at the root of our family business. Patrick, my husband, works endlessly in the gardens, is the one to pack the vehicle, deal with logistical stuff, map our routes, and be moral support. Henrik, my son is inspiring, keeps me laughing, loves to pick flowers, water and be in the garden at all hours of the day. I am the creative one. I entered the intoxicating world of floral design when I was 14, and here I am 20+ years later. I read, dream and breath flowers. I design in my head constantly and am inspired by the natural world around . I love working with flowers and people that share the same enthusiasm. Here at Marigold, we are all involved and believe in appreciating the beauty of flowers, with all their variations and inconsistencies, and then sharing that love and passion with others.
I have had the good fortune to train alongside some of the nation's leading floral designers, including Erin Benzakein at Floret, the 2014 Martha Stewart American Made winner for floral design; as well as Gabriella of La Musa De La Flores, Jenya Tsybulskyi International Floral Freelancer, floral farmers Mandy of Five Forks Farm and Erica of Junes Blooms, and several extremely talented designers back home in Maine.
